WHY IS IT POSSIBLE TO APPRECIATE TELEciência ???

Le mois de Novembre est fort propice aux Festivals de Films Scientifiques, Médicaux, Environnementaux,... MIF-SCIENCES a choisi d'être partenaire de TELEciência à VILA REAL au Portugal et d'y participer activement pour la 2ème fois. En effet, lors de la première édition, nous avions déjà soutenu cette initiative et souhaité voir cette manifestation grandir au cours des années. C'est chose faite ! Le Festival TELEciência 2001 n'a pas failli à cette destinée. Par sa richesse, sa diversité, par son ambition aussi, ce Festival a donné toute sa pleine mesure. Devenu régional et même national de par son étendue : 15 Universités ou institutions situées dans les villes de Aveiro, Coimbra, Braganca, Viseu, Porto, Evora, Tomar ...mais aussi Lisbonne ont été associées à ce 3ème TELEciência 2001. Art, Ateliers, Expositions, Démonstrations, Colloques, Conférences, et bien évidemment, projections de films scientifiques, ont ponctué toute cette semaine d'activités décentralisées inscrites dans le cadre de la Journée Internationale de la Science, du programme Ciencia Viva et de la Semaine de la Science et de la Technologie de l' UTAD. Une participation internationale très importante, des films de grande qualité, un Jury très impressionnant par la concentration de compétences, des talents exprimés ou des talents cachés, un feu nourri d'animations, de rencontres et d'émotion : voici pour résumer une partie de ce programme. Le palmarès a été dévoilé le dernier jour avant un repas de clôture animé par un groupe folklorique très surprenant. Les films primés, de très grande qualité sont pour une grande part inscrits et bien classés au Box Office du Film Scientifique - MIF-SCIENCES, ce qui vient confirmer la réputation de cette manifestation.

November is extremely favourable with the Scientific, Medical, Environmental... Film Festivals. MIF-SCIENCES chose to be partner of TELEciencia with VILA REAL in Portugal and to take part in it actively for the 2nd time. Indeed, at the time of the first edition, we already had supported this initiative and had wished to see this demonstration growing during years. It is made thing ! The TELEciencia Festival did not fail in this destiny. By its richness, its diversity by its ambition also, this Festival has given its full measurement. Become regional and also national from its extent : 15 Universities or institutions located in the towns of Aveiro, Coimbra, Braganca, Viseu, Oporto, Evora, Tomar... but also Lisbon were associated with this 3rd TELEciencia 2001. Art, Workshops, Exposures, Demonstrations, Meetings, Conferences, and obviously, scientific film projections, punctuated all this week of decentralized activities registered within the framework of the International Day of Science, the program Ciencia Viva and the Week of the Science and the Technology of the UTAD. A very significant international participation, films of great quality, a very impressive Jury by the concentration of competences, the expressed talents or the hidden talents, a lot of animations, meetings and of emotion : here is a summarize part of this program. The prize list was revealed the last day before a meal of cloture animated by a folk group very surprising. The preceded films, of very great quality for a great part are registered and classified well with the Box Office of Scientific Film - MIF-SCIENCES, which comes to confirm the reputation of this demonstration

La IAMS ( Association Internationale for Media in Science ) a réuni une assemblée générale de ses membres à l'occasion de TELEciência 2001. MIF-SCIENCES avait pour sa part choisi de présenter une Exposition des FINALISTES du TROPHEE du PHOTOGRAPHE SCIENTIFIQUE de l'Année 2000 et de procéder à la remise de TROPHEES SPECIAUX MIF-SCIENCES.NET - TELEciência 2001 pour le Meilleur Film Scientifique et la Meilleure Série Scientifique. Vous trouverez ci-après 6 rubriques pour vous permettre de vivre ou de revivre cet évènement important du calendrier des Festivals 2001. L'originalité de ce Festival : La remise des prix est consacrée aux lauréats de l'année précédente. Ceux-ci sont invités par l'organisation et participent soit au Jury, soit animent des Conférences ou des Colloques, et viennent donc enrichir par leurs compétences le Festival. Compte-tenu des Lauréats 2001, il a lieu de penser que la prochaine édition sera riche en personnalités de haut-niveau et que le Festival sera encore plus beau. Il convient donc dès à présent de réserver sa disponibilité pour la période du 18 au 24 NOVEMBRE 2002, dates du 4ème TELEciência 2002.

The IAMS (International association for Media in Science) chose to join together a general meeting of its members at the time of TELEciencia 2001. MIF-SCIENCES had for its part selected to present an Exposure of the FINALISTS of the SCIENTIFIC PHOTOGRAPHER TROPHY of the Year 2000 and to carry out the handing-over of SPECIAL TROPHEES MIF-SCIENCES.NET - TELEciencia 2001 for Best Scientific Film and the Best Scientific Series. You will find hereafter 6 headings to allow you to live or revive this significant event of the calendar of Festivals 2001. Originality of this Festival : The handing-over of the prices is devoted to the prizes winner of the previous year. Those are invited by the organization and take part either in the Jury, or animate Conferences or Workshops, and thus come to enrich by their competences the Festival. Taking into account Prizes winner 2001, it takes place to think that the next edition will be rich in personalities of high-level and that the Festival will be even more beautiful. It is thus appropriate as of now holding its availability for the period from the 18th to 24th NOVEMBER 2002, dates of the 4th TELEciencia 2002.
