Presentation
With
the organization of TELEciência 2001- III International Scientific Film Festival,
we are willing to continue (after the commemorations of the Technology and
Science Fortnight and the celebration of the Science Day) the sleepy movement
in the universities towards a scientific culture for everyone, to the spread
of the scientific culture. We understand that the promotion and divulgation
of scientific knowledge that is possible with the audiovisual system - film,
is essential to the development and innovation of our society. Note that these
are not simple expositive documentaries aiming only the scientific contents.
It's a tight connection between Science and Art, produced for television broadcast
and, not just as a simple class, but as scientific (contents) and artistic
(form) work. Naturally we speak of an artistic - scientific culture.
