Heat stable enterotoxin (ST) is one of the two diarrheal enterotoxin
produced by Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC). ST is known for not
losing its toxicity even after being heated for ten minutes at boiling point.
The ST is inoculated onto the mucosa of mouse. Blue dye was injected into
the caudal vein and the villi was filmed from the side.Villi were observed
being shed off their outer shell, as if hats were being taken off people’s
head. |
